United Wound Care Institute is a rapidly growing wound care and chronic disease management organization offering advanced, on-site clinical services to patients across Texas. Our mission is to improve patient outcomes with compassionate care, modern treatment protocols, and a patient-first approach.

We are expanding our team in Santa Fe, Houston, Texas and seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support our clinical operations and patient care services.

Position Summary

The Caregiver will work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff to provide hands-on patient care, monitor patient conditions, and support daily wound care activities. This is a fully onsite role requiring strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a caring attitude toward elderly and chronically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, mobility, hygiene, and comfort needs
  • Support wound care procedures under supervision of medical professionals
  • Take and record vitals, monitor symptoms, and report changes to clinical staff
  • Maintain patient cleanliness, safety, and dignity at all times
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient care activities
  • Assist with appointment preparation, room setup, and equipment readiness
  • Provide compassionate, patient-focused care and emotional support
  • Follow infection control, safety protocols, and HIPAA compliance guidelines
  • Communicate professionally with staff, patients, and families

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Previous experience as a caregiver, CNA, medical assistant, or similar role
  • High school diploma or GED (CNA certification preferred but not mandatory)
  • Ability to lift/move patients safely (up to 40 lbs)
  • Strong communication and patient-handling skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Santa Fe, Houston, Texas

Preferred:

  • Experience working with wound care or chronic care patients
  • Basic knowledge of vitals, patient charts, and clinical documentation
  • Valid CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Onsite at United Wound Care facility in Santa Fe, Houston, Texas
  • Full-time schedule — Monday to Friday (some flexibility required)
  • Fast-paced, patient-care-focused clinical environment
