Starting Rate of pay: $28-$30

$500 Sign-on Bonus 

+$1.50 shift differential

Shifts Available and Hours:

4am-12pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Loads and unloads IPT trailers with various material by using forklift/ Combi or hand trucks.
• Operates semi-truck with one or two trailers, according to state laws.
• Transports and secures loads over required route to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Checks rear wheels of trailer and places nose stand before any unloading takes place.
• Removes chocks and nose stand before driving away from shipping dock or designated area.
• Obtains shipping bills of lading and necessary signatures and returns completed paperwork to shipping office. Maintains any related record required per DOT Laws.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections. 
• Reports any maintenance malfunctions to the Transportation Supervisor.
• May switch empty/full trailer in shipping yard on off-shifts for optimum loading patterns the following day.
• Operate within 100 air miles.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English.
• Must be able to complete required checklist of duties and responsibilities.
• Must have basic math skills, use a calculator and read a tape measure.
• Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment.
• Valid state Class A CDL, valid State HazMat Oregon required to acquire within 6 months.
• Tact and diplomacy in dealing with customer personnel at delivery points.
• High degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of tractor trailer and in preventing damage to materials and trailer equipment.
• Ability to sit in a trailer cab for long periods of time.
• Ability to operate forklifts and Combi’s.
• Ability to lift and move 40 lb. wooden skid or pallet.
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to meet the Department of Transportation’s physical and medical requirements.
• Ability to pass initial and on-going random substance abuse screenings.
