Role Overview:

This field-based engineering role is focused on evaluating the safety, integrity, and operational reliability of industrial equipment. Professionals in this position conduct site visits to large-scale manufacturing and industrial facilities, assessing systems for potential risks and identifying opportunities for safety and performance enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess equipment conditions to pinpoint safety concerns and suggest practical risk reduction strategies
• Apply engineering standards and internal technical resources to support risk mitigation efforts and guide best practices
• Produce detailed technical assessments and reports to support client risk improvement initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various internal teams, including risk engineers, client relationship managers, and underwriting professionals, to develop and implement safety recommendations
• Operate independently from a home-based office, requiring strong time-management and self-direction
• Travel regularly to client facilities to conduct comprehensive evaluations of complex systems and operational environments

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in engineering—preferably with a focus on electrical, mechanical, or chemical disciplines; experience in industries such as power generation or chemical processing is highly desirable
• Between one and five years of professional experience in high-risk sectors such as energy, chemical production, mining, manufacturing, maritime, or nuclear industries
• A solid understanding of electromechanical systems, including rotating machinery, boilers, generators, and industrial safety infrastructure; experience with industrial control systems is a strong advantage
• Practical, hands-on familiarity with industrial machinery and the ability to interpret system interdependencies
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, along with competency in Microsoft Office software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a detail-oriented and organized approach
• A valid driver's license is required; company-provided vehicle included
• Willingness to travel frequently, averaging 50–60 overnight trips annually, with increased travel expected during the initial training phase
