Development & Donor Engagement Associate | Championing Youth Through Sport

Los Angeles, CA | Hybrid | Temp-to-Hire | $35-40/hour

As part of a collaborative and mission-driven team, the Development & Donor Engagement Associate will play a critical role in maintaining strong relationships with donors, tracking impact, and supporting event and campaign initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone who is data-savvy, detail-oriented, and looking to grow within the development and fundraising space.

What You’ll Do:

Database & Reporting

• Maintain accurate donor and gift records; manage entry, clean-up, and insights.
• Pull weekly and ad hoc donor reports; support data-driven strategies.
• Track giving trends and create helpful dashboards to inform campaigns.

Donor Engagement

• Coordinate donor meetings and prepare briefing materials.
• Assist with thank-you campaigns, gift acknowledgments, and communication touchpoints.
• Support outreach strategies for both mid-level and high-net-worth supporters.

Event Coordination

• Help organize donor-facing events—from exclusive luncheons to annual celebrations.
• Manage event lists, RSVPs, logistics, vendors, and internal communication.

Marketing & Communications

• Collaborate with the content team on annual campaigns and impact storytelling.
• Help maintain segmented donor mailing lists and assist with social media tie-ins.
• Draft compelling donor materials and outreach templates.

Admin & Prospect Research

• Assist with calendar planning, meeting scheduling, and internal updates.
• Research and build profiles on individuals, corporations, and foundations.
• Participate in portfolio reviews and strategy discussions with gift officers.

You Bring:

• 2–4 years in a nonprofit, foundation, or donor-focused environment
• Familiarity with fundraising platforms such as Virtuous (preferred), Salesforce, or Raiser’s Edge
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Strong writing and interpersonal communication abilities
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office

• Competitive salary: $82,000–$88,000
