We have a client looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic. Great opportunity for someone who wants to get off the and work at a single shop location.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in repairing and maintaining diesel engines and related equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently as well as part of a team, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines and industrial equipment to identify issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
• Repair or replace faulty components, including electrical systems, HVAC systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure equipment functionality.
• Align components and ensure proper installation of parts according to specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in diesel mechanics or a related field.
• Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment repair.
• Ability to solder and align components effectively.
• Experience working with Caterpillar and Komatsu engines is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues.
