Field Service Technician | Rockford, IL

Full-Time • $24–43/hr. • Travel up to 85%

We’re looking for a Field Service Technician who thrives on solving problems others can’t—someone equally comfortable with a wrench or a multimeter, and who takes pride in leaving every machine better than they found it.

What You’ll Do

• Install, align, and maintain advanced CNC machines and supporting equipment.
• Interpret complex electrical and fluid schematics to troubleshoot servo-activated systems.
• Repair and fine-tune spindles, gearboxes, and mechanical components.
• Calibrate geometry and axis compensation with precision tools and lasers.
• Support acceptance testing and on-site customer training.
• Mentor junior service engineers and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Represent the company professionally at customer sites across the U.S. and abroad.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of experience in the machine tool or CNC service field.
• Solid foundation in both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with engineering blueprints, diagnostic software, and precision tools.
• Clear, professional communication—written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel frequently (domestic and international).
• Steady under pressure; reliable in demanding environments.
