Position Summary
AVA Wines is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Fine Wine Specialist (Distributor Sales Representative) to join our team in South Florida. This individual will be responsible for managing and growing sales across both on-premise (restaurants, hotels) and off-premise
(retail stores, wine shops) accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for wine, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to meet sales goals.
Responsibilities
• Manage a designated sales territory in South Florida, focusing on both new business development and account retention
• Cultivate strong relationships with buyers, sommeliers, beverage managers, and retail store owners
• Present, promote, and sell AVA Wines’ portfolio of fine wines through effective tastings, presentations, and education
• Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and account activity goals
• Collaborate with supplier partners for market work and events
• Maintain accurate records of account activity, orders, and customer preferences
• Stay up-to-date on wine trends, product knowledge, and competitor activity
• Represent AVA Wines at trade events, tastings, and industry functions as needed
Qualifications
• Experience inwine sales, hospitality, or distribution
• Strong knowledge of wine regions, styles, and producers—formal wine education (e.g., WSET, CMS) is a plus
• Established network of accounts in South Florida preferred
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and conduct in-store tastings and events
• Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
