From coast to coast, notable projects include The Purple Line (D Line) Extensions in Los Angeles, SR 99 Viaduct replacement tunnel in Seattle, East Side Access projects and the Hudson Yards Platform in New York, Central Subway Third Street Light Rail in San Francisco, and multiple airport expansions and bridge projects. **_Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent_** **DESCRIPTION:** As a Sr. Structural Engineer at Tutor Perini Civil -East, reporting to our Chief Engineer, you will have the opportunity to: + Perform tasks on projects requiring a broad and / or deep knowledge in the field of heavy/highway civil construction and structural engineering. + Perform structural analysis and design; including but not limited to reinforced and pre-stressed concrete design, steel design and timber design, deep foundations, gravity-based foundations, earth retaining structures, crane pick plan / rigging, bridge deck, etc. + Implement design and ensure conformance with all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. + Prepare and review calculations for analysis along with preparing engineering reports, memoranda, and design submittals. + Prepare working/draft construction drawings for AutoCAD drafter. + Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs **REQUIREMENTS:** + A Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or similar from accredited institution and 10 or more years of relevant experience. Bridge experience required. Masters degree focused in structural engineering is preferred + PE license (NY or NJ) required, NY is preferred + Proficient in using Structural finite element analysis software tools such as MIDAS or RISA + Proficient working knowledge of Excel and Mathcad + Proficient working knowledge, understanding, and application of critical industry accepted codes; IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC Steel Specification and Construction Manual, NDS, AREMA, AASHTO and AWS + Maintain membership in industry organization (AISC, AWI, RCSC) and continued professional development for PE License + Must have the ability to organize and handle multiple tasks + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Proven ability to be successful in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction + Experience working on projects in the NYC/Metropolitan area preferred **_Tutor Perini builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent._** **_Join us and together we will build the future._** **Equal Opportunity Employer**
