Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Buyer to join our client's procurement team in a dynamic automotive manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with 10+ years of purchasing experience, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain operations within the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead sourcing and procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, components, and services.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to support production and cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to align purchasing strategies with operational goals.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and risk factors to ensure supply chain resilience.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Prepare and present purchasing reports, forecasts, and cost analyses to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in purchasing, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of automotive supply chain dynamics, quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949), and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
