Job Description

Optomi, in partnership with a premier client in the entertainment and technology industry, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead software development initiatives. This is a long-term contract opportunity within a dynamic program management organization focused on driving innovative solutions and delivering scalable products to end users.

What You Will Do

  • Leverage Agile and Scrum methodologies to lead multiple project teams, ensuring successful delivery of software development projects.
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct all activities associated with project plans, communication plans, risks/issues, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and demos across multiple teams.
  • Track and report project slippages, providing actionable mitigation plans.
  • Coach teams on Agile best practices, support self-organization, and encourage methodology knowledge growth.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches and tools (Jira native Burndown Charts, Epic Reports, Version Reports) to maintain metrics visibility and identify team needs.

The Right Candidate Will Have

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field).
  • 3–5 years of experience managing software development projects, preferably 4–5 years.
  • Hands-on experience with the software development life cycle and supporting applications that reach internal or external end users.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira and Confluence in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • CSM or CSP certification preferred with a thorough understanding of Scrum/Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of leading teams and collaborating across multiple project initiatives.
  • Desire to learn and take on additional responsibilities as projects evolve.
