Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Title Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing the accurate processing of title documentation related to real estate transactions. This position requires a strong understanding of mortgage processes, loan documentation, and relevant regulations such as FNMA, TILA, and Fair Housing laws. The Title Processor will collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and other financial professionals to ensure seamless transaction workflows within the mortgage and financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify title documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and process title reports, title commitments, and related legal documents for real estate transactions.
  • Coordinate with escrow officers, attorneys, and title companies to facilitate smooth processing of titles.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations including TILA, Fair Housing regulations, and other applicable laws.
  • Assist in the review of loan files for underwriting purposes, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Maintain detailed records of all processed titles and related correspondence for audit purposes.
  • Support loan origination teams by providing timely updates on title status and resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise during processing.
  • Keep abreast of changes in mortgage servicing, escrow procedures, and banking regulations affecting title processing.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience or knowledge in FNMA guidelines, mortgage servicing, or loan processing is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting processes, credit analysis, and loan origination procedures.
  • Familiarity with legal contracts, escrow procedures, and banking operations related to real estate transactions.
  • Knowledge of TILA regulations and fair housing laws to ensure compliance during processing activities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to accurately handle complex documentation.
  • Proficiency in basic math skills, including 10-key typing and calculations related to escrow amounts or loan figures.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
