The Online Typist is responsible for typing and formatting documents, data, or written materials from various sources. This remote position is perfect for individuals with good typing speed, attention to detail, and basic computer skills. You’ll help ensure that all typed content is accurate, organized, and professionally presented.
Type and format documents from handwritten notes, audio files, or digital text.
Proofread typed materials to correct spelling, grammar, or formatting errors.
Enter data accurately into online systems or databases.
Maintain confidentiality and data security for all assigned materials.
Meet daily or weekly typing and submission deadlines.
Communicate with supervisors or clients to clarify project requirements.
Organize and save typed files in the correct folders or systems.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 45–60 WPM preferred).
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or similar tools).
Strong attention to detail and good grammar skills.
Reliable internet connection and personal computer or laptop.
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
Prior experience in typing, transcription, or data entry is a plus but not required.
